The food Purchase branch deals with procurement policy of wheat and paddy. It also deals with the executive functions of Pungrain. It keeps a liason with the Government of India, Food Corporation of India and other state Procurement agencies in regards of planning and execution of the procurement policy of wheat and paddy with the help of various purchase centers in the state.
